HYPNOSIS Certification

Overview

Discover the Power of the Mind

Hypnotherapy is distinctive in that it attempts to address the client’s subconscious mind. In practice, the hypnotherapist often (but not exclusively) requires the client to be in a relaxed state, frequently enlists the power of the client’s own imagination and may utilise a wide range of techniques from storytelling, metaphor or B Symbolism ( judged to be meaningful to the individual client)to the use of direct suggestions for beneficial change. Analytical techniques may also be employed in an attempt to uncover problems deemed to lie in the client’s past (referred to as the “there and then”) or therapy may concentrate more on a client’s current life and presenting problems(referred to as “ here and now”).

-----What is Hypnosis? -----

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation that allows greater access to the subconscious mind while remaining fully aware and in control. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not sleep or mind control. Instead, it is a state in which the mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions, personal insight, and constructive change. Hypnosis can be experienced through self-hypnosis or under the guidance of a trained professional. When used for therapeutic purposes, it is known as Hypnotherapy.

-----What is Hypnotherapy? -----

Hypnotherapy combines hypnosis with established therapeutic and counseling techniques to help individuals overcome emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. By working with the subconscious mind, it aims to support lasting positive change, improve emotional well-being, and unlock personal potential. A hypnotherapist may use guided relaxation, positive suggestions, visualization, storytelling, metaphor, or other therapeutic approaches depending on each client's unique needs. Sessions may focus on understanding the root causes of an issue or on developing practical solutions for present-day challenges.

Most hypnotherapists integrate hypnosis with other counseling methods to provide a well-rounded therapeutic approach.

-----Who Can Benefit? -----

Most people who are willing to participate can experience hypnosis. Individual responses vary, but the depth of hypnosis is not necessarily linked to the effectiveness of therapy. Trust, motivation, and openness to change play an important role in achieving positive outcomes. Hypnotherapy may help support individuals dealing with: *Stress and anxiety *Panic and phobias *Smoking cessation and unwanted habits *Weight management and overeating *Sleep difficulties *Low confidence and self-esteem *Fear of examinations or public speaking *Pain management *Migraine and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) *Performance enhancement in sports, academics, and the arts *Personal growth and emotional well-being Hypnotherapy may also complement other counseling approaches for relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and anger management.
